Thread addition alerts take days to arrive

Started a thread and ticked the box at the bottom asking for an alert via email when someone responds.

These have taken 48 hours to arrive in my inbox.

If I sent one today, but didn't receive an error message, but neither did I get my copy

I sent myself one yesterday while at work which I received in the AM today.
I sent myself one 2 minutes ago which I just received.

so to answer your question, it's fine now and you should get it shortly, if not already.
