Issues with popup for ad photos

If I browse an advert and open the images I cannot click on the (non active) background to close the images down. It also won't allow me to ALT+F4 or CTRL+W, I am forced to use the small cross to close the pop up in the top right. Does this on FF 17.0.1 & IE9.

An other weird keyboard thing is when on a news piece and I open the image then close it using CTRL+W and then try to close the news page with CTRL+W it re-opens the image again.

Can't you just use a lightbox or something, its frustrating having tabs keep opening all over the place.

As for the classifieds images, are you not seeing the Close text with an X on the top right, just under the banner ad?

And for the news images, I don't understand what you're saying. Can you rephrase?

I see the cross, but its small and its the only thing you can press to close the pop-out, most lightbox's allow you to just click and of the window outside of its self to close it.

News problem: I'm on this page (http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=26933), I click an image, then close the new tab it opened. Then I use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+W to close the news article tab, but instead of it closing the news article tab, it re-opens the image tab.

Ok, good. Just wanted to make sure you knew that was there at least. I do agree we should enable you to be able to click outside the box to close the gallery; it's simply a matter of doing it. I'll talk with our front-end dev and see how difficult it will be.

As for the news thing, I really can't replicate that one. What browser are you getting that on?

FF 17.0.1 with all add-ons disabled.
