I know it's probably a real ballache in terms of coding, but is there any chance of adding a "repost button" to each post so that if someone knows it's already been posted, as happens on an almost hourly basis, you can just flag the link as such?

While I'm here, how about a voting system, 1 to 10, for each link too?

TBH I don't see why anyone should get upset by a repost as long as it's not on the last page or two. Not everyone has the time or inclination to peruse every single page and post and, it is often that I come across interesting clips because I have missed it the first or second time around.

A repost button? How on earth would the person looking at the repost 'score' know if they had seen it, even if someone else had? Seems like a daft idea, I'm oot.

Most of the reposts ARE from the last page or two as everyone rushes to be the cool kid by posting the new viral video first. If there's a link that sounds like one you've seen but you're not sure, having it flagged as a repost would save you the bother of opening the link to find it is the same clip.

As for the voting, that's nothing to do with the repost thing, it's purely a rating system. I've personally, as I'm sure you guys have, opened more than one link in that thread only to sit there thinking why the hell did someone bother to post this load of old pish? If I ever open a YouTube link and see the dislikes anywhere near the amount of likes I close it without even bothering to watch because I know it's going to be tosh. A score for each link on the thread would save me wasting a click (yes my surfing time is precious!).
