BBcode quote glitch -can't handle usernames with brackets in

Hi there,
title says it all really.

I was attempting to quote a user whose handle has brackets (this chap http://pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/profile.asp?h=0&a... - not suggesting for a second he's done anything wrong!)

It's just that you can't quote him. The board is interpreting the "()" in his handle as "don't quote this then...."

Is this a known bug? Any way around it?

There are a few characters that bork the quote code, it's been known about for a while. I think Stuart et al just opted for proscribing those characters for new signups rather than forcing someone to change their name.

In fact, I believe the space character is one of the ones now prevented (although it doesn't break quoting). /smug
