Notification of reply taking a very long time...

Hi
When I start a topic I always check the 'receive e-mail notification when reply is posted' box.

This makes it really quick and easy to see my replies as sometimes if for example when asking for advice, when time is of the essence.

The last couple of weeks I have been checking my e-mails frequently and often there are no e-mails but when I go straight to the topic there have been replies!

It never used to be like this.

Why has it started all of a sudden now?
I do get the e-mail notification but usually many hours after the replies have been posted...
