On the swearing smiley

I suspect the swearing smiley is a contributor to handbags on here. Why? Because he's an angry swear. A neutral or happy swear is rendered livid by his presence.

Thus:

you dopey numb nuts for running yourself over

Becomes:

You dopey bd for running yourself over.


I propose, therefore, that he is replaced with a non expressive smiley or simply asterisks.

What say you all? Are you with me? Smash the system!

In written communication, tone is not conveyed especially well.

For instance, I imagine your post was written while you chuckled and is actually very lighthearted. Some might think you were serious though!

Nope. Many a dumbarse first post (not that this is one!) has been edited/deleted after the first 5 piss ripping replies leaving late arrivals wondering WTF when they can't see what is going on, the original having gone without any clue.
