Back button on PH won't work. Why?

Almost two times out of three pressing the back button on my browser (IE9) simply doesn't show the previous page I viewed on PH forums. If I hold down the back button and view browsing history I see loads of ad.doublick or mediaclick websites. I guess this is the advertising on the page. What a pain in the a*se though.

Is there a setting on IE9 I can change or should I switch to a different browser?

It's really winding me up as well.

I've tried to resist an ad blocker, but needs must. What's the recommended one?

If you have a mac on the network glimmerblocker works as a proxy for all clients, click.

This seems to be randomly occuring though and the original page is about 40 items back?

Really annoying, plus must make my work browsing history look even worse!

Perhaps a conflict of interest between advertising revenue and the minor irritation of a website that is now impossible to navigate properly?
