The internet is being spammed by some tts trying to sell kitchens

They always have the word kitchen in the post along with the same number

Is it posible to block all post that contain the word kitchen and their telephone number?

If the mods block all posts with the word 'kitchen' in them we'd have missed your thread!

It has been discussed behind closed doors, but at this point in time the techies are up to their armpits in other major site improvements. There doesn't seem to be a simple fix unfortunately so for now it has to be sorted manually by us guys. smile

It seems it's not just PH that kitchens Random Town post their spam on, would anyone really buy from them?

I wonder how much of their time could be wasted if a group of people were to phone them up?

Why not arrange a PH phone in. 200 peopes agree to phone them up at 3 minute intervals & tell them "fack off your spamming ct". Then hang up.

That should do it biggrin

A sticky wouldn't make any difference as it wouldn't be read by them, they just sign up to spam the forums.

When you register you have to acknowledge (tick box) to say you agree to the RofP's and T&C's.

The spam they posted this morning didn't contain their phone number, possibly trying to avoid being blocked?

More of it now. Their IP (or whatever it is you chaps use) needs blocking.

I might engage in that today. I cannot abide spam; either by calls, texts, emails or otherwise.

I can confirm they don't like it when you call them and "waste their time".

Dammit...if only the full IT team here at PH, with the years of experience behind them, had thought of that.

I've a spare half-hour which I like to call lunch.

And there's also a Contact Us section on their website, which might prove to be fun if you're inclined to waste someone's time with spam messages. whistle

They're at it again this morning. Presumably an IP address ban isn't doing the job.
