Classifieds: I can't submit a new ad

I thought my forum id was the same for the classifieds but it won't let me log-in so I requested a password reminder - but well-over an hour later I haven't had the password reminder.

Am I being too impatient? Got a car I need to shift.

The classifieds requires a different account than the forum. If you've never logged in to the classifieds, you'll need to set up an account.

... that they will have migrated long-term user accounts so they can use the classifieds.

If I have to create a new account, I'll have to pay for the ad, surely.

I tried creating a new account with my email address and user name as per the forums, and it says I cannot because it already exists. So that's good. I just need to know what my password is then. It's not the same as my forum password but when I've requested a reminder, it's not coming through to the email address I've logged in my forum profile. Now, I did change my email address but it was about 18 months ago. I'm sure I updated my forum profile accordingly quite quickly.

Help..!!

Sorry, this is an issue we're going to fix soon. But basically it won't let you create a classifieds account with the same username as someone in the forum, even if it's your own username.

So if you register with your e-mail address as your username I can change your username for you. Just let me know when you've done that.

I had a problem and was using Internet Explorer.

On Pistonheads advice, I changed browser (to Google Chrome) and that solved it.
