What actually happens?

An email gets sent to all the site staff advising them that the report has been raised, who by, the reason for the report and a link to the reported post so it can be dealt with. (that's what happens on the site I mod on. I should imagine its the same on here. )

An internal investigation goes into the complete history of this person over the past seven years.

You basically have about a two day window to leave the country.... I think???

We've got a place full of reports and the moderators can keep tabs on issues and so on.
