Taken in context, it was a very funny thread in counterpoint to another frivolous thread in the Lounge and enjoyed by those who had seen the connection, including the OP from the other thread, so what was the harm?

The internet is an infinate source and pointless threads use up valuable space? Someone should close down mumsnet then so that we can have more umbrella talk
