adverts with sound that autoplay

am I missing something cos that is a really really bad idea imo. Just now I had some kind of hairdresser ad kick into life. Does anyone really think that is a good idea?

I understand ads are important etc etc but ones including sound that autoplay?

Try google chrome, with Adblock. I've been using it for ages, and it's only when I use someone else's computer that I realize how invasive and irritating adverts have become.

I use Firefox with Adblock. PH doesn't have adverts.

Some people may browse PH at work though where the choice of browsers and plugins is restricted and noisy ads are especially bad!
