Potential scam

Hello everyone i have been meaning to join the forum for a while now but not quite like this!!!

I have just responded to an ad in the bike section for a suzuki gsxr750 for £2500 ( suspiciously cheap ) i beleive this may be a scam i have emailed and phoned the administrator with no response so thought this would be another way of warning people about it.

Does seem cheap but any other reason to suspect SCAM ?

I read the ad and this part interested me
"!!!VERY IMPORTANT-I CAN`T BE REACHED VIA PISTONHEADS "E-MAIL SELLER" OPTION!!FOR MORE DETAILS AND PICTURES PLEASE CONTACT ME DIRECTLY AT Susanhopkins42(at)aol(dot)com!!"

Could it be someone who is away working has been found out to be "playing away" and wife/girlfriend is selling his pride and joy in an act of revenge ?

Suspicious because i got an email back from her asking me to contact the pistonhead sales department through another link!!!

Would this "pistonheads sales department" have an email address a bit like "[e-mail]"?

Click the report button on the advert, that will highlight it to the right people. PH don't sell cars for people so its definatley a scam if they are saying to contact the ph sales team

Keep trying report button on advert and an advert for ireland comes up is that normal? Do pistonheads care?

Yes, they do. There's a scam warning in the classifieds section and I'm sure there's one about Pistonheads do not sell cars on behalf of people.

It's Bank Holiday Monday, so a response from a mod will be delayed. I'm sure one will be along at some point to sort it out.

Of course PH care, what a random comment to say. Please also remember that it's a bank holiday, PH staff as keen as they are don't all work 24/7, I'm sure they will sort it when they see it.

Of course PH care, what a random comment to say. Please also remember that it's a bank holiday, PH staff as keen as they are don't all work 24/7, I'm sure they will sort it when they see it.
