For PHers on their phones - next/previous page buttons?
Discussion
I'm a serial timewaster, browsing PH on my phone - on the bog, after lunch, during a lie in, whenever it takes my fancy - and love the dangerous convenience of so much automotive chatter living in my pocket.
I do, however, have a bit of a problem. Despite having an HTC One, with its great big 1920x1080 screen and all, I find myself simply too hamfisted to accurately prod the next page number to proceed through a long thread. I can of course zoom to it then press it, but this is most cumbersome, and instead I tend to take a punt and more often than not jump in the wrong direction, or too far ahead. Try as I might to train my unruly thumbs, I lack the precision!
So could we have "<< Previous" and "Next >>" buttons placed either side of the usual page selection in threads? I suppose it could be made an option whether to display it or not, but if not on by default I imagine very few would know it existed. The button you want being on the end of the page selector, rather than the middle, and very much larger would make it dead easy to navigate, and I'm sure many of us phone users would be able to relax their intense demands on thumb precision. Thoughts?
PS. It would need to apply to the main desktop site, not only the mobile one, as most of us use the full site these days anyway!

Have you tried running the Opera browser? If I press in an area with a couple of buttons it appears to automatically zoom in there so that I can choose between them, which is quite handy.
As in the OP, I can do that too, but it's just a pain and takes more time. Would be great to have a button one can just dive on.Putting it on the revamped mobile site, as I said, wouldn't solve the issue for many as thoseoof us with newer phones tend not to use it.
