Hyperlinks inside inverted commas and the spurious space.

If I place a hyperlink in inverted commas ... like this ...

"[url=http://i343.photobucket.com/albums/o453/jeffs99vulcan/Donkey/Donkey-1.jpg]Nice Donkey[/url]"

... a space appears between the opening inverted commas and the first character of the link ... like this ...

" Nice Donkey"

It's a wee bit untidy.

Perhaps I'm doing something daft or there's a work-around.

See below, it seems like the forum software is ensuring there is space before the hyperlink. The first example has a space I put in, and it's not doubled it up. The 2nd example has no space from me, but it's put one in anyway. I think you'll have to live with it tbh.

Because it just don't look right with the underline extending beneath the inverted commas.

What you're suggesting is just a bodge and I'm not having it!
