I'm genuinely mystified.

The only explanation that I can think of is that we're running some sort of multi-variate test which serves different pages to different users, except that:

1) We're not

and

2) If we were then I'd have asked for it, and I haven't.

Not sure if this helps but while the 'hobbies' stuff was going on, the lounge disappeared completely from board index but I was still able to access it through my 'contributions'. Then it all went back to normal.
