I just had to verify my email address before I could quote / reply / start a topic.

Is that related to the security shenanigans at the weekend, and if it is then how concerned should I be?

Unfortunately it's no different from normal...

It just seems odd that after this weekend when it looks like there was a bit of a security issue, I suddenly get prompted to verify my email address. I don't recall that ever happening in years of being on here.

I thought (hoped) one of the mods / techs / admins would reply to confirm that there had been no harvesting of usernames / passwords / email addresses and explain how it really was all just a remarkable coincidence...
