I'd like to go back

To very early threads. I understand that PH started off as a mainly TVR enthusiasts site, and it would be great to see some of the first threads and understand some history of the site. Is it possible to go back to the first posts without for example selecting a forum and then going back page by page using the 'next' button?

Or would early stuff have gone/been archived etc?

Any help and advice muchly appreciated

That doesn't really work for me. I did think about starting a thread on this myself.

At the moment a forum view, has First, Previous, and Next as the only options for viewing forum pages. It would be great to have the option to skip pages such as

First Prev 3 4 5 10 15 20 Next

I suppose one very good reason to NOT do this would be necroposting (errr if that's the term for bringing up ancient posts), which I think is frowned upon here, as the Mods have enough to do as it is.

You can very easily and simply jump to any page number within a thread

Or modify the URL directly:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&f=8&i=40

Change the parameter after 'i=' to skip to earlier threads directly.

Clunky and doesn't work logically, I have to change i in multiples of 20 for it to work.

How? I was reading one thread that went to about 300 pages, I'd made it to page 60 one bored afternoon, how do I now go straight to page 61?
