Why no surveys?

No idea why I can't start a thread with a survey on people's expectations on car availability. This is for my Masters dissertation. I posted one blissfully unaware and it was removed.

I understand the rules, but no one has explained why, and even posted a thread within the website feedback forum. Hoping for more to see this reply to explain why.

I would be even more grateful if I get permission to post, this is the group of people which I want to attract with the questionnaire and require a decent sample size.

When your thread was deleted, you should have got an email explaining why.
As far as I'm aware the rules haven't changed, all this type of thread will be removed if the mods spot them (or if they are brought to their attention)
In your other thread http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... you were given a link to Paul Garlick who would be able to approve you posting your survey.

I was just told it was against rules. I just don't get why?

I emailed Garlick, didn't hear back.

Not complaining, just trying to understand.
