Picture upload

I'm having issues uploading pictures. Problem with me or the upload function ?

I thought maybe something was going wrong with my laptop,but posting my query it seems I am not alone in being unable to upload pictures.

I have tried uploading some photo's that have been previously uploaded without any issues and these also will not upload.

My question is are you experiencing any internal problems?

I think we were writing at the same time.

It is not just you,I can not upload either. Also another member has contacted me to say also can not upload.

I guess we just wait till it is sorted

Problem with Thumbsnap I think.

Slow at the moment, and while it seems to allow an upload, it doesn't come back with the usual inserted code in posts.

References to already-uploaded photos still work:

I only managed one successful Reference to already-uploaded of approx 10 tried as demo's.

The actual thumbsnap website seems to be working fine, so is this a pistonheads site problem?

I'm having trouble as well, had to use an alternative hosting site to get a picture posted up

Using the " pic /pic " tags seems to work ok.

Clicking 'Upload an image(beta)' Seems to do nothing other than put #faceboxMaster into the address bar, all of the other links work and open pop up windows.

Seems like the best advice, along with using Tinypic as suggested by TVRJAS, at least until a PH hamster shows up in this thread to tell us more.

It's something to do with the gateway PH uses to access Thumbsnap and the response Thumbsnap gives (or is supposed to give) through that gateway. Which it isn't doing, at least not consistently. I can't say why; could be PH sending broken data, could be Thumbsnap failing to receive the data, could be Thumbsnap receiving but unable to give a coherent reply, could be PH unable to comprehend the reply.

Generally computer things, when broken, remain broken. Since in this case it seems to be up and down, I'd be checking first for overload on the Thumbsnap server...

I just found this. Does all the usual stuff, but when the pic is unloaded, you just get the Thumbsnap box but without the central buttons.

I cannot upload my cracking bike crash pictures.....wtf come on PH

just keeps coming up it is bigger than 2mb or something the photos are 700kb!!!

im not good with computers and my brain hurts so I think that is the right units.
