Quantity of threads displayed on forum pages

You get the option to display number of posts per page in a thread but not the number of threads you want to view per page of a forum. They always have 20 threads (well actually Photography & Video curiously only displays 19). On busy forums (General Gassing and The Lounge for example) or forums with lots of stickies (the aforementioned Photography & Video and Food, Drink & Restaurants for example) it's hard to keep track of new posts as they are frequently moved off the front page so you have to keep moving off the page.

Could there be a "Forum Page Length" preference to allow this to be increased from weedy 20 to powerfully-built director 40/80? Maybe instead of an option the default length could just be 30-40 to make the front pages more useful? At the very least could whatever means Photography & Video only displays 19 threads be fixed so it at least shows 20?
