Any chance we can have a ban, or at least strong guidance on stupid post "sign offs"? One of the better things about PH is that the interface is kept clean of witty one liners / insightful quotations / signatures on every single post a user makes. Despite being asked reasonably some people seem determined to both extend the length of their posts, and to annoy/offend other users with pointless and inappropriate USPs.

I may have got slightly carried away in my response.

I'm not sure I asked for someone to be banned, but well done on the jumping to conclusions in any case.

On the wider point, I can't think of a single occasion where I would advocate anyone being banned. Stupid smileys on every single post however, are way more detrimental to the site IMHO than a bit of swearing - and that's effectively banned!

Apologies, I read this as you wanted people banned, but you just want them banned from using smileys/sigs
