Admin - response to ph ad scam?

Hi guys,

Just had this sent to me, asks for username and password login, looks like a potential scam to me?

When responding to this email please ensure that you do not reply to [e-mail] as this is a no-reply address and will not reach the seller.

This email enquiry has been sent from [e-mail] and all replies should be sent to this address.

Obviously a phishing scam. Not sure when the techies will see this or what they can do but I'll flag it up.

Forwarded it onto the PH Classifieds e-mail but nothing back.

I have just experienced this issue as well! After my first experience of advertising on Piston heads I have had my advert hacked and altered. I am hoping that admin will contact me to discuss?
Not confident at the moment that all is well!!

They are to busy fking up the classifieds for the 2nd time don't hold out to much hope even though it's a st thing for it to happen.

I've had this too albeit didn't click link as link addy was different to real web addy (both are mentioned within the email as sent). Scumbags.

This is a new phishing scam.

And as with all phishing scams it's very hard to prevent as it relies on users being able to spot bogus emails from phishers.

We're implementing additional login security to make it harder for them to automatically log in with your details once they've captured them.

However at the end of the day if you respond to a phishing scam email and give them your login name and password they'll be able to log in and change your advert.

We (PistonHeads) will never email you asking you directly asking you to log in to "link".
Suffice to say we are working on this but there's no magic bullet.
