Anyone else getting fed up of being treated like children by the moderators?

Usual thing, someone gets all defensive, lashes out saying something utterly ludicrous (admittedly it was spectacularly ludicrous even by PH standards), people take the piss a bit (rightly, frankly) then the mods sweep in and shut the thread like preschool nannies making everyone go and take a nap.
