Videos removed from my thread

I can't find any way to contact a mod/admin so I'm assuming posting here is the preferred method of asking for help/info about the forums?

I posted this thread in the reader's cars forum: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
and in it I linked to a couple of youtube videos I've made of the cars, but about 15 mins after the thread was created the links got changed to "censored" with no explanation.

Can anyone tell me why and how/if I can be allowed to post the links again? Surely it has not been considered as advertising, as that youtube channel is purely just me and a friend posting videos of our cars. We make absolutely no money from it and are not trying to sell or promote anything via the videos or our blog.

I've just noticed the note at the end of the post now saying that "plugging your own clips is deemed as advertising" .... How is it any different to posting a picture? The videos were not promoting anything, they were just videos of my cars. Videos that I have put a lot of time and effort in to. I don't understand why I'm not allowed to share them with other people on here that might enjoy them?

it does sound a bit of a silly rule as theres many videos posted by authors on many threads.

As stated on the edit we do not allow continued plugging of youtube clip as it deemed as advertising, driving members to youtube clips generate income, many members have been asked to refrain from this as have you.

If you wish, you may take it up directly with Paul Garlick of Haymarket.
