I have just joined the forum. It is rather annoying that on some of the larger threads you have to go through several pages to read the general flow of conversation. Can the most recent post be put up front after the thread originator? I am sure most readers are bright enough to get an idea of what the general consensus is without having to trawl through every post. It is just a thought.

No! It would be more confusing reading a long thread from back to front.

If you want to see the most recent post, all you have to do is click on the last page and read from there.

What he said, would be much more confusing the other way round. One of the things i like most about the pistonheads forum is how clean and simple its laid out, no avatars or crap like that cluttering it up.

You can change the whole thread to read back to front in your preferences if that's your thing... The op appears at the end do I struggle to see why you'd want to though, as I struggle to see why you'd want to read first post, then last, then second last etc.

I'd be quite happy if the bloody 'latest post' option actually linked to the latest post! It only seems to work if you leave the forum completely then come back. If you go and browse other threads and sections, come back and think 'oh! More posts', click it and you just get returned to a page or two before, not the latest post!
