Incredibly annoying drop-down ad !

Logged on to PH this morning and had the 3g Sing it Kitty advert drop straight down onto my screen three times blocking out the PH site totally. Just come on here to moan about it before I have a look at the forums and guessing it will do it again. How intrusive and annoying is that !

And this is why we adblock, unfortunately. The ads got too much - especially when they started making noises on a regular basis - and the goodwill/tolerance was lost.

I get the need for ads, after all, this is a business but for ads to cover 80% of the screen three times each time I change a page just make me think I cant be bothered to log on ! Flashing ads at the top of the screen are annoying but at least they stay there.

Get it off. Now. It was bad enough with the "You Might be Interested In" bar appearing, telling me that the world is about to go through another economic meltdown, apparently. Now, a huge drop down ad. Get rid of it, asap.

I've added an Ad Blocker but it has made no difference. I'm using Firefox. It is really getting on my nerves and in all honesty puts me off visiting the site. I currently have 'Hot Deals!' on the RHS and 'Recently Bought' popping up at the bottom.

What is happening to PH? I understand that you want to maximise revenue by placing ads on your website, but don't you realise how much people (especially me) do not like them.

I'm at work so I can't use my adblocker, but that isn't the point.... STOP ruining this fantastic forum with adverts. I don't often say this, but, please.

I have already started to use Reddit r/cars and other websites a lot more, which don't have annoying banners.

I believe the admins have posted before about the ads. They don't approve individual ads but set rules the ad suppliers are supposed to follow (size, no popups, no sound,etc). Some PH staff can block annoying ads though.

You used to be able to have PH open quite inconspicuously when in the office, not so anymore.
