The ads are targeted based on what you've been surfing for online. I can only assume that you've been googling for pictures of men in their keks.

It's targeted - you must have previously expressed an interest in his underpants.

It's true. I recall a chap similarly embarrassed himself on a r/c model forum I used to frequent when he came on complaining that it was a family orientated forum which his children may use, which was advertising sex toys.

My mother is 74 years old, and does not understand the interweb. Last week I bought her some bras from some womanly type website. I now get bombarded with ladies underwear advertising. Not funny at all!

As a proper male shopper - one who identifies a need for something and buys it post haste - I get targeted adverts for things I have already bought, and thus have no need for.

His ass is sandwiched between an abandoned XJ220, a PH article on dirty super cars from 2013, a PH carpool 911 story and something about a ste R8 replica!! None of which interest me whatsoever.

So either the targeting is crap or the mrs has been using my ipad again!

That sounds like the Taboola ads at the bottom (the row of pics) if so I don't believe these are targeted based on history they just serve up 4 PH links and then any old crap in the random 5th box

Yep.

Plus I also skip through them on TV, I do wonder how much use advertising actually is.

My brother was once away from a computer and asked me to bid for something on ebay for him, gave me his account details. In addition to bidding on the item in question I filled his watchlist with the biggest granny pants I could find, proper applecatchers.

How was I to know he shared an account with his Mrs?.............. hehe
