Hi gaffers,

Love the new classifieds but would be great to get bigger photos.

I have seen the 'full view' option but that only increases them by about 20%.
Half the screen is left as a grey box and the rest is contact details which can be found on the main body of the ad anyway.

Thanks.

Your loyal servant.

The images depend on a lot of factors, mainly that we have been given large enough images by the seller and assuming the user has a big enough screen to show the images.

If you have a large monitor, 730 pixels wide is the largest image size that we store and show on the "view full" lightbox. That is 100 pixels larger than what is shown on the details page. If you have a small monitor, the images can seem the same size or even slightly smaller.

As for 4:3 vs 16:9, it depends on what format the user gives us when they upload. We don't crop them, but instead make them fit within the bounds of image sizes that we display.
