Submit post. Back page to revisit forum thread - voila a second or even third auto post. Seems prevalent with Safari and latest OSX.

ETA: Oh look -It's just happened. I now have two threads with the same topic running.

You're hitting the back button and your browser is resubmitting your post. Use the return to topic option instead.

Agreed. But out of the 50 sites I visit regularly PH is the only one on which it happens. It seems to be a Safari problem.

Most forums have a mechanism to stop you posting in succession (normally a 30-60s delay between posts). Maybe PH could implement something similar to prevent this issue?

It's a problem on more than Safari. Most phones do it and not just immediately after you have posted.

The key really is not to hit page back button until you've been back to the thread via return to topic or other means.

I don't see why it doesn't just redirect you straight back to your post.

It's like the screen you're taken to after you log-in, you have to click 'Continue' to be taken to anywhere useful, completely pointless, who doesn't want to continue at this point?

I had two of my posts reposted yesterday. As in two different posts. One after the other.

Android phone using standard browser.
