It flippin knarks me that the Jimmy Savile thread still says 'sir Jimmy Savile'.
As he is dead, he is no longer a knight. knighthoods cannot be withdrawn after death as actually on death a person ceases to be a knight.
He clearly doesn't deserve to be known this way, and it is clearly technically wrong to continue to use this title anyway. So the thread title should just say his name, it's not like he has a common name that needs the title to ensure that the correct person is being discussed
So can we get it changed, please?.

The worst thing about that type of thread and similar ones is that if anyone posts anything using a principle attributed to Voltaire, they're rounded on as being the same type of person as the subject of the discussion.
Luckily no-one mentioned Jehova
As for JS he was given the knighthood for all the good work he did. Much of it stands today and without it many hospitals and the people who've gone through them wouldn't be here either.
The other things that have come out, he should have been punished for too. Does that include closing down the hospitals and giving back all the fundraising or anything else associated with his name. The higher they get, the harder they fall.
