Can I get email notification of replies to another thread?

I know if I start a thread, I can tick the "Receive notification of replies" checkbox to get an email when someone replies.

But is there a way of receiving notification of a reply to a thread I've replied to or am just watching?

At the moment, I just click <Watch> on the thread and check my watched threads regularly for replies.

As far as I know you can't get notifications for other threads, I do the same as you & click watch.
