Hello, I have been a member of PH forums for a while now and always tried to join in the discussion & enjoyed the banter and informed discussion.
However lately it seems that every reasonable thread degenerates into a willy waving contest between a few utter tossers which ruins it for the rest of us.

I jokingly posted the SniffPetrol 'prick from an internet forum' link yesterday in the hope that lamooning it may catch someones attention.

This website is very quickly turning into 'dad's net' and I am fed up.

Have a BMW: prick
Porsche: prick
TVR: prick with a canoe
Motorbike: prick with a donor card

Really? Speed matters? Thrill of driving?

C'mon guys please. Before it is too late. Can we start yellow carding each other when things get handbaggy.

Isn't that what happens anyway? When it degenerates into knobbery ignore thread and move onto another.

You're a relative newbie at 4 years a member .. you joined when it had already gone downhill. Think how miffed the old timers must feel ..

How do you deal with people you don't like in real life? Do you have a personal moderator who protects you from them?

It still says so on the site title.

Also the forum logo has never said Speed Matters and it's never been an issue.

Nope - you're wrong. It says it on the site title (browser window title) when on the news pages (not the forum).

- taken from the html source - <title>PistonHeads.com :: Speed Matters</title .

Gotcha, I mistakenly thought the site title was the logo on the home page.

Either way, why has it gone from everywhere (...except the site title)? See LordGrover's post above for images.

This. I often wonder if the people who post certain things are actually like that in real life or if some sort of alter-ego takes over them when they post on-line.
