Eyup,

My forum user account is not recognised when trying to create an advert.
I remember reading about this a while back but can't find the threads.

Would a kind mod please link my forum account to my classifieds account? (which should allow me to advertise for free?) - Joined in September 2008

The moderators don't have anything to do with classifieds.

Hi, Your email address registered with your Forum account doesn't match any account in the classifieds.

At the moment they are two separate login systems (somthing we are building to combine at the moment but a few months off release).

If you haven't registered an account on the classifieds system then use the same email address as your use on the forums and the system will link you up and spot if you should have free adverts - if you have already registered an account, drop me a PM and I will look into it.

Good Morning,

Thank you for the update.
I didn't have a classifieds account, so just created one.
Tad unusual asking for a username, then stating mine is already in use. So chose something else, using the same email address and it did link both accounts - thank you.

However..... the only ad type I have available is premium for £11.99
Whilst this is cheaper than your other competitors and normally I would not hesitate to pay, I was under the impression I wouldn't need to pay?

Member since pre-October 2008, selling a 13 year old car smile

Is the required payment correct, or does a box need to be manually ticked to enable free advertising?

You sir, are a star! Thank you smile

Just to note, I've asked my Dad to sell my car for me (getting married in a fortnight and do not have the time nor energy to go through the motions of tyre kickers.)
Anyhows, the advert listed the car as being in my area (which it would), when infact it is about 40 miles north of me in a different county.
As such, I've amended my account with their home address so the car can be found for in that area.

Please let me know if this breaks any rules and I will straighten my account out - but unsure how to make the car available for that area?

Ta,

Mike.
