Thank you - we will raise it as a bug and get a fix out.

Sorry... not yet, as this has been merged into a bigger sort of the URLs across the site - as you are accessing a mobile.pistonheads.com link (which has been deprecated in the classifieds) we are looking at all of these links in one.

Ok. I have noticed that whenever I get this error (ie every time I click on a clarified link) if I swap mobile for www in the url then I can reach the ad.

Are you just navigating the site normally and get this issue, or are you clicking in links in the forums or news articles to go to the mobile.pistonheads.com site?

I'm using the mobile.pistonheads.com url to navigate the forums on my phone. Then it's just clicking on any classified links in the m/// smoker barge threads or wherever - I get taken to mobile.<advert link> which results in the above loop error page. I then have to manually edit the start of url from mobile to www and then the advert will load.

We have a temporary fix that we hope to release this week that will help with the amount of jumps, but not sure it will fully fix this issue as most of the work is done by our mobile site provider (and they want a cost to change the rules).

As we work on the Mobile (beta) skin further we will be moving away from the mobile site provider so will fix the issue for good.

I'm still getting the same issue.

iPhone using safari.

When is the new jobby coming as it's quite annoying? Lots of threads link to the classifieds for various reasons.

Also will the new platform allow you to fix bugs quicker? Especially with the mobile site bugs seem to take forever to get resolved or they simply don't.

The mobile provider overwrites all the links to point them to the mobile version of the classifieds. This no longer exists so it jumps around - we are looking around end of November for the full fix.

This will also mean that the mobile site is run by the dev team here, so all fixes will be done much quicker.

Yes in both counts, we are very nearly there - just the fixes to the Beta2 skin and then we will turn off mobile.pistonheads.com, for the time being it is fixed if you use either of our mobile skins and stop using mobile.pistonheads.com to view the forums.

Can you educate me - what are my choices here.

I use Big Blue skin which looks good on my PC and mobile.pistonheads.com for browsing the forums on my mobile, again it looks good. I switched skins to mobile(beta) and things now look all out of shape on my PC, and I've got some pseudo horrendous skin like other chavvy forums on my android device serving up adverts. FFS. Can these ads be blocked?

Is this what we're left with now? Is mobile.pistonheads.com going to become unsupported?

Beta2 is the second generation of the mobile skin, and hopefully an improvement on the mobile(beta) - but the desktop version of that skin is still under development to look as good as big blue. This will become the default skin across the forums and mobile.pistonheads.com will become unsupported.

We will be releasing improvements to the Beta2 skin over the coming weeks before turning off mobile.pistonheads.com
