Shop problems

Went to the PH shop to buy a calendar, added it to my basket and pressed 'continue shopping'. Nothing hapenned so I clicked it a few more times, still nothing. Then I pressed 'Shop' on the top left to look at different items and it said my basket was empty. I went back to the calendar, added it to my [now empty] basket and went straight to checkout. The only thing to appear on the invoice was .76p shipping, much as I would love a free calendar I fear there is something wrong with the PH shop or my browser.

Any ideas?

Cookies are on, 'for originating site only' is off.
Can I send a cheque through the post. I see it says 'When placing an order you are also given the option of paying by cheque.', but I can't place the order properly so will a letter do?
