PH crashing browser

The last few days, my browser has been repeatedly crashing opening pages in thePH forums, but other sites / forums are fine.
It is semi-random, and my guess is that it's a rogue advert, since pages that crash the browser one day are ok another visit.
It crashes every time I try the CH farewell thread, for example.
It took a couple of goes to get here to post.
