You know how you get a "censored" image when people use rude words?
Is there an option to turn that off, as I am an adult?

No, and it's not needed. Simply having the option to turn it off would mean that the less intelligent would do so at work, which then raises flags in the web-filtering system they use, which report back to the big servers in the sky, and then tell all the individual ones that PH is a Bad Place Full Of Scary Words. PH then drops significant ad revenue, as it cannot serve ads to people who ought to be doing proper work. This is a Bad Thing for a revenue driven free website.

Mumsnet allow you to say the C Word - have you considered going there?

Sorry but as the full word is still there when quoted I don't think it would affect the systems in any way and is just a visual metric?

nope - its not showing up in the source of the original page so it'll be fine going through filters. You can only see it when you click reply. Which bots can't do as they won't be signed up or logged in.
