Whilst browsing the classifieds home page (listings by model), I thought wouldn't it be great if when you hover over a car model, a little thumbnail appears to show you an image of that make / model? The benefit is more for ambigious cars, we all know what a 3 series looks like but I am currently searching for a car for my fiance and looking at sensible 5 doors, would certainly miss things like 'Toyota Auris' without first seeing photos. Just a thought but think it could be a good improvement and a fairly simple one.

An interesting idea, we will have a think about it.

Though interested that you are approaching the search that way for the next car. The classifieds was always designed for this type of search so that you can stick in your sensible (or not) requirements into the search and it would come up with all the cars (without you having to know the make and model of ones that matched).

E.g. 5 doors, 41-50mpg, under 8k would be this:

So interested in feedback on how that works or not for you.

Was just a thought of another way to add to the experience, could also be useful if you have seen a car but don't know what it was. I agree that the search facility is already fantastic and streets ahead of other online used car search websites. Big thumbs up to you guys for this.

I noticed AT have only just split out the 'S' Audi models, that infuriated me when searching for a TTS, especially as TTS was too short for their keyword box (rant over!).
