I have been trying to pit my new car in readers cars from my mobile , however while writing the description is not a problem it will not let me upload a photo. I'm only trying to put 1 on there and whatever I do the photo app thing just keeps telling me it's too big and too resize and try again but it's nowhere near the limit stated at the bottom....any ideas?

Hi Tron1,

Are you trying to upload an image to your Garage? This should just be a URL to a separate site and not an actual image that's uploaded to PH. If you're trying to upload images to a classified ad, I'd suggest it's best to use a desktop computer if you're struggling on mobile. If the problem persists, could you take a screenshot and post up on here?

Kind regards,

Ben

Hi , I'm trying to start a thread in readers cars rather than update my garage. Everything works well until i click on the upload photo (beta) button. It takes me through lets me select a photo from my album on phone but whether I click forum fit or other for the photo size i just keep getting a message saying the photo is too big and too resize and try again. But at the bottom is says limit 2mb and the photo is only in kb so should be no where near the limit. It's just one standard phone pic nothing special.

Sorry for the delay, here's a response from the tech team:

"I've just successfully done this on a mobile device without an issue. When the failure message appears, what is the reported size of the file? This must be below 2048kb."

Yep, sorry - the provider we use to host images in the forums has a 2MB limit.... to drop the size you can use apps such as SnapSeed or http://www.picresize.com/
