Can we have a clothing sub-section please?
Discussion
I notice the Lounge has plenty of threads regarding clothing advice. With this in mind, is it possible to suggest that we have a clothing sub-section where members can post for advice and show off their newly acquired garments etc?
Given that we've got specialised sections for tent, pets and watches, it seems a reasonable request (especially considering the frequency of threads encountered).
What do the PH mods think?

It's been suggested before, answer was no.
Any particular reason behind this decision? Do a certain number of members need to sign up to a petition or show interest before it is considered?0a said:
I don't see many threads about clothes at all!
I think we have a fair few, usually related to shoes, shirts and suits.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Ask Andy About Clothes is a good place to start if you're interested in this kind of chat.
What about a Matt forum?
And http://forum.tz-uk.com/ for any chat about watches.
Etc.

Thanks.I'm simply seeing clothing related threads on a reasonably regular basis and it seemed to make sense to have a forum sub-section. We also appear to have quite a few members knowledgeable in this topic.
After all, we have a section for caravans and motorhomes and let's be honest, only
s (and old people) have those (and the occasional PH who uses it for LeMans).
Who makes the decision on which sub-sections we should (and shouldn't) have?

No disrespect meant, m'lud.

I doubt there's enough interest TBH.
We have a couple of busy topics; shoes, pocket squares, pants(!), and I'm sure a few others in the lounge. It's not like there are style/fashion/clothing topics starting every day in the lounge.
Some of the forums added more recently like Science! and Books & Literature haven't been very busy either.
For those of us with more than a passing interest there're several specialist forums, though mostly US based.
I guess we'll just have to post up and accept the ridicule and comparison to mums.net when someone puts their head above the parapet.
