Will the search function ever be updated?

Back in the day (when this were all fields.....) you used to be able to search PH by forum or timeframe, etc. Then it was just Google and the well defined search criteria which gave you what you want became everything from the depths of PH time.

Will it ever be back to as it was (or better) or are we consigned to the worst search of any forum I've visited?

The new search function will be implemented very soon, it works really well and your flabber should be gasted

Am I the only user who finds the search works okay ?

I type in random/related words and useful stuff appears.

PM me next week (Friday) and I will send to you too. Initially it is going to be all AND on any words, but will look to add smart search functionality in phase 2 as want to get the other functionality out there for feedback first.

Not found it very good though, in particular
1. Simply isn't finding what I search for, even simple terms
2. Doesn't highlight searched for term in results

Will try a few more later - odd how tricky I'm finding it to come up with 'test criteria'.

Hi LG, If you can specify the search terms that would be good for us to do the same test here.
And then a thread you would expect to find.

The highlighting is something we are working on.

I emailed you last night but is it only searching 2015 as that's the only results I seem to be getting.

I know I started a thread on yoga and pilates so used the simple term yoga AND pilates and variations which returns five results, none of which are the thread I'm looking for.
I also tried yoga AND lordgrover and variations with no joy.

The thread I was hoping to find is: Yoga/Pilates/Other for flexibility.

There does seem to be an issue.

I searched for 'daily' knowing that the thread below had just been updated and I posted in it five minutes before the search

I sorted by date, newest first, and no sign of the daily thread. Refining by my username brought zero results.
