Log in repeatedly

For the last few days every time I've visited the forums it asks me to log in, today it wouldn't let me post unless I verified my e-mail. Usually I'd be remembered on my pc, and therefore not have to log in.

Can anyone offer an explanation or had similar issues recently?

There was a thread about this that suggested a solution was the amount of cookies being created by the site hitting a limit and thus causing this log in loop.

Solution was to delete cookies for PistonHeads and then login again which would solve it - if you need anymore help let us know?

More a workaround surely? The site shouldn't be generating more cookies than the clients browsers can cope with...

FWIW, I cleared the cookies again after reporting on the ASPSESSIONID issue, and after login it had already generated two ASPSESSIONID cookies along with the general PH cookies. After logging in on Friday (the day I cleared the cookies), I currently have 9 ASPSESSIONID cookies stored by the site.

How queer. I can't remember the last time I cleared down cookies but have no issue.

Possibly, I run Firefox and I'm sure other people have complained about a login loop on Firefox as well.

As a comparison, this is how my PH Cookies sit at the moment:

We are launching a whole new login system by the end of the month, so though this is just a workaround at the moment, the solution to fix it permanently is very imminent.
