Good to see the two systems are about to be harmonised.

Don't get it though - are we going to have to scramble to retain our usernames? I've been advised in the email I received that mine is changing to something random.

Yep, just received my email. I have been advised that my user name will change to Andy-(then some random numbers and letters) and also told we can then change this to our old username in our profiles, why can't we keep our old usernames??

Have you checked it isn't a test account linked to one of your email addresses?

I've received an email regarding an account I didn't even know existed (linked to another of my email addresses), but was clearly created by the techs to test something in the mists of time.

I also received one to my regular email linked to this username which confirmed my username remains unchanged.

It probably is a duplication issue Jeremy, but I received it on the email address that I use for this account so it reads as if I'm now going to be known as BlaBla-oxgu in future.

My allotted user name is xxxx-H4SZM - strangely similar format to my current one but almost as though it's been mixed up with someone else

I've never had an additional login for the classifieds though, maybe that has something to do with it?

I'm with Ted on this one! I bagged "Don" however many years ago and it is absolutely the only forum upon which I have ever been able to simply use my real name. I got the handle by logging on very early - if you check my memberid it's 37.

It's a retrograde step to make my username Don-hsfsgfg

Is it possible for me to retain my username? I really, REALLY don't want some random stuff after it...
