Username Migration - Tonight - Site Down from 12:30am

Hopefully all of you will have have received an email (if the email on your account is up to date) about our new login system. For those that haven't, we are combining our classifieds and forums accounts together so that you have only one login for the whole of PH.

We have migrated all the usernames across tonight and will be releasing this at 12:30am, this will result in a few things happening:

• You will be logged off, as we cannot cross reference any old cookies you had setup - so you will need to log back in using our new system
• If you can't remember your password then request a password reminder using your email address or username
• Inside the email last week, we had to randomly generate a few usernames - we have undone this work so your existing one will work. There maybe a very very small few who do not have the same username, if so see FAQs in this forum, or email/contact the details below
• We have merged Classifieds and Forum accounts together - we could only do this by matching emails between the two. So if you login and do not see forum posts you had, or do not see your adverts, then it is possible they were under different email addresses. Contact us and we will sort and join them.
• Some users had more than one account, we have tried to choose the best, so if we have not chosen correctly, let us know and we will sort.

This is a huge task, and as we are migrating nearly 2 million accounts a few may slip through the net. We apologise in advance if you are one of those, but we will work hard to get you back up and running as soon as possible.

I can't log in from my mobile, though from my computers I can log in fine (obvously....)

Is this the end of the old mobile site? I know you were trying to push people onto the new way of using the forum on mobile, but the old mobile site was, and still is, much better

We are just on our way back into work so will look at these issues shortly.

m.pistonheads.com is on it's way out and as part of our new login that is a casualty to anyone wanting to login and use it.

For those getting logged out, please tick the remember me when logging in (as long as you are not on a public computer)

Mobile site not working, says you have logged in but then you go to the forum and it's logged back out.

As you can see the e mail I received changed my username from jaf01uk to the Gary-fg80i although when I try to log in it is Gary-62lgq, none of which make any sense to me, I have tried the links on the Wiki faq and all come back 404, the one on my profile page when I try to change my username says my jaf01uk is already taken? Presumably by me? Confused....... Oh and no history of subscribed posts or posting history either!
