Anyone know why I am unable to add just a text description to a private advert? I get a message saying do not use web links, swear words and html which is fair enough, but I am only trying to use plain text. I am on an iMac and have tried three browsers none of which have solved the issue? I emailed adverts at PH a few hours ago but no reply thus far. Thanks in advance.

Here you go and thanks in advance :-)

Very special high specification mint rare Mercedes CLK63 AMG

Classic Obsidian metallic black with contrasting cream interior

Only 34K miles with full Mercedes Guildford Service history. MOT til September 2015 - no advisories since new. Next service due October 2015. New tyres fitted within last 250 miles. Fully documented history.

Additional options to standard include

• Electric heated as well as cooling front seats
• Bluetooth telephone system ready for any Bluetooth mobile phone
• Electric Glass sunroof
• Comand system including digital TV receiver
• Electric rear roller blind
• Cornering bi-xenon headlights
• Ash black wood finish
• Harmon Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system

I have owned this car for nearly four years and purchased it from Hoffmans of Henley a highly respected dealer of special cars. My car was featured by Pistonheads at the Sunday Service at MB World in September 2011.

I am looking to sell to help fund a business venture for top money as this car is a one-off in this spec, condition, history and mileage.

Serious enquiries only please. Thank you.

It is the word pistonheads... stop phishing links etc.

Change it to PH or Piston Heads and you will be fine.

Thanks that worked. I can't be the first person with this issue. Perhaps the warning message should be more specific when entering the word "Pistonheads" in the free text as it is not a swear word, weblink etc?

How can a word be a link? Can you not code something in to bar *.co.uk or *.com?

I am simplifying the solution we have in place as I'm not wanting to write on a public forum all the things we do to limit scammers.

I have my advert all sorted now thanks. If I remember correctly there were some analytics that showed and advertiser how many people had viewed the advert. Doesn't seem to be available now, but I am going back more than 10 years I think!

Yep, nothing on the front end I am afraid - but we do record it in the backend so is something we are looking at showing moving forwards.
