Main page stories to specialist forums....
Discussion
I know website feedback is normally only used for us all to complain but......
Today's Tamiya RC story reminded me of something I've always wondered-why do they automatically go in General Gassing? It's obviously a story more suited to the Scale Models forum and it might even direct your posters to a part of the site they didn't know existed.
I'd imagine that stories in General Gassing get the most views so maybe these "special interest" stories could get a temporary sticky to the top of General Gassing that would link you to the relevant forum for 48hrs. Then after perhaps reading and replying a poster might have a look at the other threads in there? I know I really didn't understand the forums for a couple of years before I started to explore the site and it wasn't really obvious to me that there was a whole other load of info out there.
Not just for special interest stories mind you, but if I'm reading a main page article on the new BMW M3 for instance, might I not want to read the BMW M forum?
Maybe it's not possible? Maybe it would result in too many stickies in GG? I don't know, I just thought it might be a good idea?

I don't want to take up any more of your time but I'd be interested to know......
Will more main page articles be moved to the specialist forums after a certain amount of time?
If they do, does this result in less posts once they're moved?
As I said in my OP, I think there is some terrific content in the specialist forums (not just scale models by the way) that might make occasional posters find something that makes them a more active member.
