Perhaps it is just me (and these things are a matter of taste to a certain extent), but it seems that the quality of PH articles has declined in the last year or so.

There used to be very interesting and well thought out opinion pieces (eg Tell Me I'm Wrong) and articles which discussed cars and the car industry in general.

Now there seems to be a much greater focus on testing new cars and road testing. I enjoy a good road test as much as the next man, and I'm sure that it is much more fun to do a Cayman v F Type v 911 face off than to sit down and think about an interesting topic to opine on, but I find myself visiting PH less and less often as a result.

Perhaps I'm in the minority - would be interested to hear if others have noticed the same thing

I have to say I agree. I used to read most of the articles, I tend to stick to the forum now. It seems that the TOTD feature has been used to replace many of the thoughtful ponderings of the PH staff.

The new Mini convertible article a week or two back was a particular low point.

Absolutely agree, quality has definitely gone downhill hugely. Feels like some of the writers are only interested in word count rather than quality - some articles are truly pointless.

All about that advertising money sadly!

Can't blame them really, but perhaps room for improvement?

I never read the articles unless they get brought up in the forums. I first came to PH when it was just a forum and I've never really taken notice of the other stuff.

I found out about PH after a friend sent a link to a Shed of the Week article. I enjoyed it and came back. I still read SOTW most weeks. The other articles? Not so much....

I only really read SOTW too. I like the buying guides but don't really feel grabbed by much else.
Forums are the mainstay of PH anyway
