Hello, when I am reading a thread and want to go back to the Forum overview,

I cannot use my "back" butten on the mouse, have to move the Cursor to the top left Corner and

click the "back" arrow, does not work either, rightclick the "back" arrow and then a line appears :

http://pix.impdesk.com/csync/pubmatic

What does this mean and how do I stop it or can you stop that ?

Is this some form of nasty Cookie or malware ? I can´t click it.

Win 7 and IE 11 in use, Germany.

Hi Benni,

Thanks for your feedback. This is an existing issue and seems to occur on all browsers except chrome. Going back is possible, but involves pressing the back button multiple times. This issue is on our radar but we don't have a fix for it as of yet.

This is not related to a nasty cookie or malware.

Thanks,
Dom

Hello Dom,

thanks for the answer, although I am not really felling secure now,

because a quick search has found out this :

Pix.impdesk.com Description
Pix.impdesk.com is a misleading website, which is produced by cybercrooks with the only aim to possibly promote numerous products and services.
Pix.impdesk.com poses as a real and safe search provider but, in truth, it does not offer computer users trustworthy search results because it is a worthless search tool.
Pix.impdesk.com is supported by adware browser hijackers, which may be dropped and installed on the vulnerable computer system together with freeware and shareware programs.
By downloading and installing any free applications from the Internet, PC users may agree to substitute the default start page or search provider on their computer systems with Pix.impdesk.com. Browser hijackers and adware linked to Pix.impdesk.com may also open it as a new tab page on the compromised web browser.
Malware threats pertaining to Pix.impdesk.com may replace search results in any genuine search engine and divert affected web users to doubtful websites that may show numerous pop-up ads created to possibly earn money for attackers from the pay-per-click technique or carry a variety of security infections that may infect the targeted PC.

I know feck all about malware besides it exists and may cause big trouble,

check my PC regularly with Avira Antivir,

but how many users have Chrome as Default browser ?

In most browsers, if you click and hold on the back button, a list will appear. You can then select the page you want to skip back to.

Not an ideal solution, but at least you'll be able to go back to the page you want.

If you can, also install an adblocker - it's now an essential requirement when browsing PH.

This annoying feature has stopped now, did "PH Tower Crew" find a solution or is this just random ?

It hasn't stopped for me - Ive just decided to try to figure out why the back button stopped working recently in PH and also discovered the pix.impdesk.com malware site in my history. I am using ie11 on Win7 (both fully patched up to date).

Come on PH admins, plse sort out this rather worrying aspect of using the site!
