Not sure if this is the right place to post this but seemed like it.

I checked my junk folder the other day and noticed I had a couple of private messages from PH members. I marked it as Not Junk but it still appears to be happening.

I use a Hotmail account so I would imagine a few other people are having the same issue.

All my PM's go to Junk in my Hotmail email, always have done....

I think it's down to hotmail rather than PH

We had a problem with this on a domain I was looking after we had to go and deregister it from the main filtering sites. Nothing on the scale of PH but I guess the process must be similar? But it's a bugger if you don't know about it.

It is probably the way that emails are sent on behalf of the sender, rather than from PistonHeads actual outbound email so that you can reply to the sender's actual email address. e.g. from pistonheads@pistonheads.com on behalf of r8vxf@email.com.

If only PH had a proper IM system, there would be no need for such shenanigans.

If only Hotmail's spam filtering wasn't a pile of unmitigated steaming ste, or if only people would take a clue and not use Hotmail...

Seeing as there is no such thing as hotmail anymore...

Anyway, it is a far superior email system than the steaming pile of st that is gmail.

I've run assorted mail servers. Hotmail is SHOCKINGLY bad, with only Yahoo getting close for dumping mail without telling anybody - sender or recipient - for utterly arbitrary "reasons".

And, yes, Hotmail certainly DOES still exist, for the many thousands of people who go to hotmail.com to read their @hotmail.com email. Sure, it's been rebranded Outlook or Live or Bing or Office 360 (five-to-six days downtime expected per year) or whatevertheblandcorporatefk, but it's just a different shovel for the same st.
